Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd 1984) is an American actor. She has been nominated Golden Globes and Emmys for her role in Fargo season 1 as Molly Solverson. Tolman was born in New York City and has two older and one younger siblings. At just two months older, her family moved to England and stayed there for four years. She was in Oklahoma for 5 years, and later in West Texas before moving to Sugar Land. When she was ten years old, she started acting at Fort Bend Community Theatre. Clements High School in Clements, Texas. She received her certificate in the year 2000. Baylor University awarded her a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in theatre performance. In Dallas, after graduating from the college level, she was one of the founding members of Second Thought Theatre. The actress made the move into Chicago in 2009 to study at The Second City Training Center for acting classes. Tolman gained fame in 2014, when Tolman appeared on FX's Fargo. Fargo is a film starring veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton Martin Freeman Bob Odenkirk. The movie was based on the Coen brothers' film of exactly the same title. Tolman's performance in the role of Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson was praised by Vanity Fair, who wrote: "She calmly and confidently was the star of the show". Critics' Choice Television Award, Best Supporting Actress (Movie/Miniseries) as well as Golden Globe nominations were given in recognition of her role.
